About Lissywollen
One of the newest grounds in the league, the officially titled 'Athlone Town Stadium' was constructed in 2007 in order to replace St. Mels Park. The project is expected to hold 10,000 people when finished, but currently holds half of that amount. One stand has been constructed so far which runs the length of the touchline. It's modern, comfortable and holds 2,500. In November 2011 Athlone recieved a donation which wiped out the debts of the stadium.
Away Fans
Away fans are seated at the far end of the main stand, but Athlone is a family club and fans can sit wherever they please. Supporters of the away team have the same privelages and access to the same facilities as home supporters.
