About Jackman Park
Constructed in the early 20th century, Jackman Park has been a part of the local soccer scene for as long as anyone can remember! The ground belongs to the Limerick District League and leased to Limerick FC (Much in the same way as Turners Cross). The stadium regularly hosts local cup finals, as well as interleague games and has hosted women's internationals in the past.
The ground has a capacity of 2,450 and is situated on the Lower Carey's Road, with one side backing onto the train/bus station. Liverpool, West Ham United and Celtic have all played at the venue in the past, which was once owned by Crescent College Secondary School! Plans are afoot to move from Jackman to an updated Market's Field for the 2012 season

Away Fans
Being perfectly honest, Jackman Park is not a great ground to watch a game of football. It suffers from some chronically substandard facilities, most notibly the toilets and a complete lack of cover aside from one stand. This stand is not where away fans are put sadly, unless you want to shelve out more money for your ticket. Away fans tend to congregate on the opposite end, where the Bus Station is. This is basically a grassy bank and depending on the weather can be an absolute health hazard.
