About the Regional Sport Centre
The RSC was built in 1993 as an all-purpose stadium in Waterford City. It's been hosting Waterford United since that year and has a current capacity of around 5,000. Within the facility there is a running track, 18 hole pitch-and-putt course, an indoor hall, football pitches, tennis courts and a skateboard park!
Originall the ground hadn't a stand! But the West stand (1,275) was built in 1996, and in 2008 the Ground was renovated and a modern stand was constructed on the opposite side (1,760). The record attendance at the RSC was at the FAI Cup Semi-final in April 1997 when a crowd of 8,500 paid in to see Waterford lose to Shelbourne 2-1. The 2008 league cup final, several u21 games and an u23 game have been played on the surface. Apart from football the ground regularly hosts track meets and once Munster 'A' side played there in a reserve tournament!

Away Fans
Away fans sit on the Waterford City end of the new stand, and entrance into the ground is by turnstiles at that end of the ground. Usually the away set up is fairly relaxed and due to the new stand away fans are given plenty of room in the ground!
