About Richmond Park
One of the oldest grounds in the league. Richmond Park was built in 1922 and in fact lay idle for its first three years before Bridesville moved in. In 1930 St Patrick's Athletic became the latest tenants of the ground. The Supersaintts weren't actually allowed use the ground for its first few years in the League of Ireland, and from 1951 to 1960 were homeless before returning after some considerable rennovations! Pats also had a period out of Richmond from 1989 to 1993 due to financial difficulties! The ground also hosted Thin Lizzy in 1970 for 'Ireland's first ever rock festival' which only attracted 800 people, oh dear! The ground itself hosts 5,340.
Away Fans
Away fans are hosted on the North side of the main stand, which is comfortable if a bit cosy! Away fans get access to the shop, as well as being able to hang banners at the 'Shed End' of the ground. Stewards are friendly and happy to help with any probems encountered. Pats also operate a strict no smoking policy in the stand.
